Annual Planning (AP)
Annual Planning (AP) is the organization-wide series of activities to set AWS sellers up with territories and quota for the upcoming fiscal year. Despite the simple explanation, this is a huge undertaking involving developers, program and product managers, finance teams, revenue teams, and sales operations teams. My organization, Segmentation, Planning, and Policy help develop the tooling used during Annual Planning, the policy that governs Annual Planning, and training and communications so everyone can understand what is going on (because there is a lot going on!). During Annual Planning I am usually running live sessions, producing videos and writing content and developing how-to guides for the Sales Planning Handbook. Throughout Annual Planning, I am embedded in different teams responsible for the different activities needed to occur during Planning. For AP’24 (the most recent cycle), I was working closely with teams in implementing a new application and policy. This required writing brand new how-to documents for users, working as a fast-follow to updates as they were being made.

I built a curriculum focused on the basics of Annual Planning using Articulate Rise. This curriculum included scenario based learning to gain better context for Annual Planning and the activities that are involved.
The curriculum was assigned to all internal team members and then advertised to our customers as a service to train their own orgs and be better prepared for Annual Planning. The curriculum included knowledge checks and interactive blocks to keep learners engaged.

Sales Planning Handbook
Ongoing/Content Developer

The Sales Planning Handbook is the one-stop-shop for Sales Operations to understand the processes, policies, and review tooling for planners. I have produced video overviews for activities and introductions as well as written content in the form of tooling guides and process overviews. This is a reference site used by more than 2,000 people.
Team Resources and Professional Development
Ongoing/Program Manager, Content Developer
As a learning professional, I can’t help but be excited to create resources for others to learn and be their best at work. At AWS, I develop and manage resources such as:
- New hire onboarding
- New manager onboarding

Learning in Cohorts (LinC)
I have also developed a low-cost, highly reviewed program called Learning in Cohorts (LinC), taking advantage of the vast resources Amazon has available and structuring small group meetings to review and discuss. This program acts to build connections across the organizations and different levels in a format that is conversational and comfortable. I facilitate the group meetings, recruit participants, and manage the resources shared out. It has been a joy to get to know more people I work with in an environment where we can reach beyond a product or program and solicit or offer feedback.
